Tony Dwi Susanto, Ph.D. (ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF) is a lecturer at Department of Information Systems (DIS www.is.its.ac.id), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. He got his Ph.D in Computer Science from the Flinders University of South Australia in 2012. His Ph.D thesis is about e-Government and Technology Adoption. He has received 8 scholarships for conducting study, research, and training in Australia (Australia Leadership Award & the Flinders Research fellowship), Poland (Erasmus+ Mobility Program), Malaysia (AUN/Seed-net), Europe (the Flinders’ Research Student Overseas Conference Travel Grant), Saudi Arabia (King Saud University Research Assistantship), Japan (IATSS Forum grant), and Indonesia (BPPS). He also has received 3 professional certifications in IT Service Management, IT Governance, and Enterprise Architecture (ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF).
Following his Ph.D thesis, since 2012 Tony have been conducting research in IT Adoption, IT Governance and Management, e-Government, and Smart City by receiving various research grants and working as a consultant for more than 30 cities/provinces and 5 Government Ministries in Indonesia. He is also a researcher of the Partnership for Australia – Indonesia Research (PAIR) and has served as a Guest Lecturer delivering Smart City topic at University of Newcastle, Australia (2023), VIVES University of Applied Sciences, Belgium (2021), and Bialystok University of Technology, Poland (2019).
Since 2017 Tony established and run a startup in e-government and Smart City solutions (software, hardware, design, audit, and IT management) called Tatacipta Teknologi Indonesia Inc. (TATI) that has been delivering services for more than 50 cities in Indonesia. In 2013 together with Department of Information Systems’ team he established Association for Information Systems – Indonesia chapter (AISINDO www.aisindo.org) and now he is the past president of the AISINDO.
