Mahendrawathi ER received her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, Indonesia, and a master’s degree in operations management and manufacturing systems and a doctoral degree in manufacturing engineering and operations management both from Nottingham University, Nottingham, United Kingdom.
She briefly worked as a Research Associate at Nottingham University Business School, University of Nottingham, UK, (June – November 2004). She worked in a project called Value Improvement through Virtual Aeronautics Collaborative Enterprise (VIVACE), a large European Union-funded Framework 6 Integrated Project (IP). The main responsibility was to conduct a state-of-the-art review on the drivers and factors influencing the European Aerospace industry. The work includes gathering information from the trade press, academic papers, industrial reports, etc as well as conducting field research in the partners’ companies.
Since 2006, she became a lecturer in the Information Systems Department, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, Indonesia.
Mahendra’s teaching and research interests are: Business Process Management, Enterprise Systems, and Supply Chain Management.
